For Week 11...

No blog, just getting the final project together.

I want you to bring hard copies of your complete designs for all three projects for pin up and turn in, and a CD of everything for me to keep.

Here are the parameters for Project 3 again:

Project III is the final component of a three-part series of designs that culminate in a finished lighting, acoustical and seating design for a performance venue. Project III will add to the efforts of Project I (creating the shell of the building that houses the performance space and laying out the public spaces and audience seating) and Project II, which adds to the performance venue acoustical treatment and public lighting (this is commercial interior lighting, not stage lighting).

Based on research we began in class and on the blog, you will create Project III:

A sectional drawing of the stage house and auditorium that includes stage lights and curtains

Lighting calculations of your choice for both the stage house and auditorium (one calculation if it is actually one room)

Research, drawings and specification sheets that describe your stage lights and their use

Research, drawings and specifications for stage curtains, including main drapes, travelers, borders and legs

A light plot (plan drafting, separate from your RCP) of your stage lighting fixtures

Include samples of process work and research imagery whenever you can,

cut and paste everything so that all is turned in in 11" x 17" format

A catalog PDF that can be useful; www.norcostco.com and a great stage lighting manufacturer: www.etcconnect.com

See you Monday!
